The Boscombe Valley Mystery” is one of the 56 short stories about Sherlock Holmes, written by the English writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is the fourth story in the series of 12 Sherlock Holmes adventures. It was first published in 1891 in The Strand Magazine. Lestrade invites Holmes to the county of Herefordshire, where a murder has taken place. The victim’s son is accused of the crime, but Holmes deduces that a third person was involved in the murder.
