Set in Montreal in the early 1990s, against the background of Armenia’s earthquake aftermath, blockade, and the Artsakh war, the story explores the bond between the Armenian diaspora and the homeland. Through the figures of Sergo and Sosi, it raises themes of memory, responsibility, compassion, and the meaning of keeping a family hearth alive. At its center is a person’s inner response to the pain and hope of a distant yet deeply connected land.
